Tuhoto-Ariki is from Rotorua, Aotearoa New Zealand. English wasn’t his first language—he grew up speaking te reo Māori, and his culture is central to who he is. Ko te reo te mauri o tōku rangatiratanga — his language is the life force of his identity, and it guides everything he does.
Tuhoto-Ariki has been part of MS Racing for five years, competing at the highest level in both BMX and downhill. His career highlights include being crowned King of Crankworx, earning a Junior UCI World Cup win, taking 3rd place at the UCI World Championships, and securing multiple national titles. His goal is clear: to win UCI World Cups. Off the bike, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time back home living the tribe life. Giving back to his family and iwi keeps him grounded and focused. His favourite place to ride is at home in Rotorua—the land, the people, and his culture give him strength and purpose every time he races.
