Nina has been passionate about sports since childhood, competing in swimming for many years and taking part in countless track and field events. As a teenager, she specialized in javelin and even competed at the national level, until an injury ended her career in 2015. That setback sparked a new passion—downhill mountain biking—and she’s been chasing thrills ever since.
Nina describes herself as ambitious—signing up for her first race the same year an injury ended her javelin career. Since then, she has dedicated every free moment to mountain biking, reaching her first UCI Mountain Bike World Cup podium in 2019 and founding her own team in 2020. That same year, she claimed her first UCI World Cup victory in Maribor. Riding for the Santa Cruz Syndicate since 2022, Nina celebrated her greatest success that year placing 2nd as the UCI World Champion and finished the 2023 season ranked second overall. Alongside her athletic achievements, Nina earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena in 2023.
