Ethan is from Bishops Waltham. Something many fans don’t know is that he began his cycling journey in BMX racing, where he became 2nd in the world at just nine years old.
He also claimed numerous national championships before switching to downhill racing at age 15—just three years before becoming Junior UCI World Cup Champion in 2020. Ethan’s biggest career achievements so far include his BMX results: World #2, two‑time World #6, and five national championships. In MTB, his achievements include becoming the Junior UCI World Cup Champion in 2020, earning a Junior UCI World Cup win, taking 2nd place in Elite at the Mont‑Sainte‑Anne UCI World Cup in 2023, and winning bronze at the 2023 European Championships. His daily routine starts with waking up and having a coffee, followed by walking his dog. He then spends 1–2 hours in the gym before heading out for an e‑bike or road ride in the afternoon (or on the trainer if it’s raining in the UK!). After training, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and his dog, Dottie. He also tries to ride downhill twice a week.
